About FPD

Jay and Fleming Kids

I've lived in CT my whole life. I love New England for all that it gives to me - the changing of the seasons, stonewalls, barns and being able to be near the coast and into the countryside all in a few hours drive.

Many years ago, I made a career change. I left corporate and decided to pursue photography full-time. At the time, I had one great little toddler and another on the way. It didn't stop me from pursuing this since my family was behind me the whole way. Now we have 3 great kids, 1 wheaten terrier named Clancy, 2 frisky cats and 6 Buff Orphington chickens that provide us with an abundance of eggs and just are fun to watch in the backyard.

I feel really lucky to be in this profession. It has the ability to stir great emotions through images of happy times in our life with the people that mean most to us - family and friends.

Selecting a version of the tree of life in my logo represents what I hope to capture at FPD - to be part of your most important celebrations in the cycle of life -- your child's first portrait, a multi-generation family portrait or your wedding day. These are the moments that will make you smile upon reflection and capture a moment in time that celebrate some of the most important milestones in your life journey.

I was professionally trained at Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts.

When I'm not behind a camera or computer you can find me outdoors with my family. I enjoy bike riding, hiking, snow boarding and just hanging out with my kids in the backyard.

I live in Trumbull, CT with my wife Maureen and two daughters and one son.
